Lindfield Netball Club

Umpiring

Umpiring is very enjoyable and a great way to become more involved in netball as well as earn some extra pocket money. Anyone from 12 years of age can umpire. You don’t need to be the best player to be the best umpire and it helps build confidence in the girls, and boys, who participate.

Umpires are generally rostered on games either before or after their own playing time so doesn’t add a lot of time to their Saturday. New umpires will umpire at 8.00am and 9.05am.

Lindfield Umpires wear the Lindfield uniform to start and upon achieving their low district badge receive a Lindfield Umpire shirt to signify their progress.  The club is active in supporting our umpires with assistance and buddies provided over the season. Lindfield’s Umpire Conveners Ashley Beale and Garnet Ho look after the organisation and training of the Lindfield Umpires.

Coaching

Our coaches are a combination of Parents, Players and Supporters.  We provide coaching support at all playing levels through Coach the Coach sessions, Club Coach support (NetSetGo) and our experienced coaches are always willing to assist with teaching drills and skills.  We also provide a coaching development pathway for our teenage players – spending time as an Assistant Coach then moving on to Coach a team either with a partner, or on their own.  Our Coaching and Grading Convenors endeavour to match coaches and teams at the start of the season, ensuring each player is given the best opportunity to learn.
